Senaste tiden har jag lyssnat in mig ordentligt på Downhere's nya cd "On the Altar of Love" och jag måste säga att jag gillar den skarpt. Förutom den fantastiska singeln "Let Me Rediscover You" som jag skrev om för ett tag sen (se tidigare inlägg) så innehåller albumet många små guldkorn. Här är några exempel:
"For Life" är något av en tacksägelse-lovsång för allt gott Gud skapat med riktigt skön melodi och fin och målande text som ramas in i refrängen med orden "Thank You for life!"
"Living the Dream" är en av sångerna som sticker ut lite extra på albumet.Låten låter som någon slags blandning av pop och en gammal Queen-låt med riktigt skönt gung.
En annan sång som jag reagerade textmässigt på är "For the Heartbreak". Sången handlar om att vi som människor behöver jobbiga perioder i livet för att se tron på Gud bära och att livets svårigheter och mindre glada dagar fyller en funktion i livet. Väldigt stark text och den talade mycket till mig och jag blev på något vis väldigt uppmuntrad av den, kanske sången även kan uppmuntra dig :)

Slutligen kan jag bara konstatera att detta album är helt klart ett av årets bästa album hittills, du måste helt enkelt bara lyssna igenom det några gånger, det är väl investerat örongodis: On the Altar of Love
